Stephen Lee Morgan

Stephen Lee Morgan, 52, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:55 A.M., Monday, June 23, 2003 at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Stephen worked as a carpenter.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He was a member of VFW Post 513.  He was a US Navy veteran of Vietnam.
He was born October 20, 1950 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of Silas and Alma Ruth (Graff) Morgan Jr.
He is survived by his wife - Deborah (Henderson) Morgan of Oklahoma, one daughter - Becky Gregg of Kansas, one son - Brian Morgan of Dowell, two daughters - Lindsey Henderson and Heather Henderson of Oklahoma, mother - Alma Morgan of Du Quoin, three brothers - Silas Morgan of Du Quoin, Larry Morgan of Elkville, and Gary Morgan of Elkville, one sister - Frances Herbert of Du Quoin, and three grandchildren - Dylan Bishop, Jayden Gregg, and Payton Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his father, one son - Nicholas Morgan, and one brother - Tom Morgan.
Graveside services were at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at the Elkville Cemetery in Elkville with Rev. Silas Morgan officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Military graveside rites were conducted by VFW Post 513.
Interment was in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.
Those attending the services were asked to go directly to the cemetery.
